Radisson Hotel, Argyle Street, Glasgow
Designed by Glasgow architects Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop, the award winning Radisson SAS opened in November 2002 with 247 guest bedrooms. The building was purpose built and designed to compliment the existing traditional and modern architecture of Glasgow. The curving copper and glass exterior reflects the natural sun and shadow during the day, contrasting with illuminated green-blue tints by night.
The main contractor was HBG Construction who awarded JCC Ltd the complete joinery package including the ecophon wall structure supporting the beautiful façade, bedroom fit-outs, internal doors and the external cladding to the courtyard. The material used on the rear of this unique finn shaped elevation is brunzyl multi-panel and the wall goes from outside ‘sailing’ to the inside of the building. |
